People and Projects
We are currently working towards establishing contact with groups and individuals that might be interested in taking part in the project.
The project will work alongside individuals and groups in the area to encourage involvement in the heritage of the Rhondda. It will provide a living resource for the recording and interpretation of the historic environment, where the people of the Rhondda themselves get an opportunity to express their opinion about the value they place on their surroundings. We hope to involve people in a variety of activities to produce a wide range of methods of recording and interpretation. These might include filming, photography, arts or archive studies, and might be as local as one particular building, a street or the historic character of larger areas, such as a village or all of the Rhondda Fach. The project is open to all and will offer opportunities for groups to define activities of particular interest to them and assist in capacity building and the development of new skills such as IT web maintenance and design.
